Roscoe UMC hosts a WIDE range of music and worship styles that reach a diversity of people. Classic hymns, contemporary praise, youth ministry, children's dramas, video clips, silent prayer, children's sermons, amazing music... our worship is constantly changing, adapting and reaching people in new ways for Christ.
Roscoe Church had such an amazing celebration on Nov 7th- to honor our country and our veterans. Many thanks to Bee Lehner for creating the worship setting and the "Missing Person Table"- which set such a powerful witness to our morning.
We are all so appreciative of the rights and privileges we have, and our thanks to God for the gift of this amazing country we live in. During the service we honored our veterans and the importance for all of us to REMEMBER the great gift they have given to us through their sacrifice. Too often, we choose to not remember (or even look at) the sacrifices made for us, but without remembering the cost of freedom, how can we ever truly appreciate its value? I am so thankful for Roscoe UMC- and your deep respect for our troops, our veterans and our nation!
We were most thankful to have access to the Honor Flag given in memory of our brother, Paul Doughty, who passed away this year. It was also an honor to have the service of our military veteran flag bearers, Ralph Myers (left), Gary Howell (center) and Nelson Hall (right). Mark Fortune and Steve Fox blessed us in the 8:30am service with placing the Christian and US flags.
